Francis H. Wright

Francis H. Wright, 80, 1115 Pine St., died Saturday at a Council Bluffs hospital.

Mr. Wright was a native and lifetime resident of Council Bluffs. He retired from the Council Bluffs Water Works in 1975 after 44 years of service, and was a member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church. His wife, Mabel, died in 1983.

Survivors include two daughters, Mollie M. Lewis and Mrs. Kenneth (Carolyn J. “Tiny”) Wilcox, both of Council Bluffs; one son, Walter F. of Council Bluffs; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Meyer Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Frank L. Greenwood of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church will officiate, with burial in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
