Grace Wachtler

Services for Grace Wachtler, 78, a resident at Northcrest Care Center will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Meyer Funeral Home.

The Rev. Harold Stromler, associate pastor of Kountz Memorial Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

Mrs. Wachtler died Sunday at a local hospital after an extended illness.

She was born in Omaha and moved to Council Bluffs three years ago.

Surviving is a sister, Marigold Walker of Council Bluffs.

Updated 5/22/2018: A couple of years ago Patrick Lynch provided the following information: Grace was George Walker's aunt - his mother's sister. Her family name was Robey. She was married but didn't have any children and was possibly divorced. Uncle George and Aunt Irene (Brandt) Walker were her nearest living relatives when she died and they arranged to have her buried at Plumer Cemetery.
