Julia VanDerveer

Julia Brandt VanDerveer, 85, 1023 Eighth Ave., died Wednesday at a Council Bluffs hospital after an extended illness.

She was a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs and the widow of Marvin C. VanDerveer who died June 13, 1980.

Mrs. VanDerVeer was a member of the Lutheran Churcn and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Kennedy of Council Bluffs; a brother, John Brandt of Council Bluffs; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cutler Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. E. A. Hering, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the rural Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Cutler Chapel.
