Ernest Stueben

Ernest Stueben, 73, 3326 Ninth Ave., died Tuesday at a Council Bluffs care center after an extended illness.

Born at Traer, he resided many years in Council Bluffs. Stueben retired in 1967 as a carman for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Manawa Fish and Game Club and the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cutler Chapel. Interment will be at the rural Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
