Sadie Z. Shadid, 92, of Council Bluffs passed away June 7, 2006, at Risen Son Christian Village.

Sadie was born July 7, 1913, in Tripoli, Lebanon, to the late Jacob and Emilia (Shadid) Adouh. She immigrated to the United States in 1915, and lived in Washington, D.C. where she and her husband, George N. Shadid operated various Deli's and Bars. They retired to Miami, Fla., in 1960. Sadie moved to Council Bluffs in 1997

She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1994, and granddaughter, Veronica Shadid in 2002.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Edmund Shadid and wife, Diana of Burke, Va., Raymond Shadid and wife, Alexandra of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Robert Shadid and wife, Janice of Council BLuffs; grandchildren, Michael Shadid, Emilia Shadid, Gabriel Shadid, Ludmilia Neubert, Robin Roberts, great grandchildren, Sophia and Elena Shadid. Visitation with the family, Sunday, 3-5 p.m., Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Private family funeral, Monday at the mortuary with Paul Crane, Chaplain, of the Risen Son Christian Village officiateing. Interment in Plumer Settlement Cemetery. Memorials to Salem Lutheran Church preferred.
