Fred Schroeder

Fred “Fritz”, 96, died Nov. 5 at Risen Son Care Facility

He was born April 2, 1908, in Mills County to Carl and Minnie Schutt Schroeder. Fritz lived all his life in the Mills County area as a farm hand, working for the C.H. Brandt and Sons Farms for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime member of the Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include brothers, Elmer Schroeder of rural Council Bluffs, Carl Schroeder of Milford, Neb; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family will be at Henry-Livingston Funeral Chapel, 121 S. Seventh St., Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at the funeral chapel on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Plumer Township Cemetery.
