Mrs. Sophia Saar died yesterday, after a brief sickness, at the home of her son Ed Saar, 6 miles north of Glenwood. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 10 o'clock from the house. She was about 77 years of age, an old resident of this section, and further mention of her life will be given in the Tribune next week.
Mrs. Sophia Saar, aged 78 years, died yesterday morning at 3:30 of old age and gangrene at the family residence in the Plumer settlement. The funeral will be held from the residence Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock and interment will be had in the Plumer cemetery. Mrs. Saar was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Mills county. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Charles Deetkin, and five sons, J. J., F. H., William, Otto and Edward Saar.
