Michelle D. Nielsen

Michelle D. Nielsen, age 45, of Council Bluffs, passed away suddenly, February 9, 2009, at Mercy Hospital.

Michelle was born October 8, 1963, in Council Bluffs. She graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1982 and attended University of Iowa for one year. Michelle married David Nielsen on July 20, 1992, in Council Bluffs. She was a sales associate for Pat Thomas at Farm Bureau for the past eight years. She had a great love for family and friends. Michelle enjoyed her flowers and cooking for family events.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Scheidle, on January 18, 2009; grandmother, Viola Scheidle; grandfathers, William Scheidle and Jack Smith; mother-in-law, Marlene Nielsen.

Michelle is survived by her husband of 16 years, David Nielsen; sons, Dana Nielsen and fiancé Jennifer Murphy, Jusin Ross and wife Mandi, Jordan Nielsen; mother, Sondra Scheidle; sister, Ann Robbins and husband Dan; brother, Tim Scheidle and wife Teresa; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with the family, Thursday, 5-8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Friday, 2 p.m., at First Christian Church, 20794 Hwy #92, Pastor Dave Erickson will officiate. Interment, Plumer Settlement Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the church. The family will direct memorials.
