Helen K. Nansel

Helen K. Nansel, 83, died June 13 at Risen Sun Christian Village.

She was born in rural Mills County and went on to be a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Nansel, in 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Beth Ellen English and husband, Burt, of Knoxville, Tenn.; three sons, Blane H. Nansel of Iowa City, Boyd W. Nansel and wife, Patty, of Council Bluffs, and Brian J. Nansel of Council Bluffs; three brothers, Fred “Fritz” Schroeder of Council Bluffs, Elmer Schroeder of Council Bluffs and Carl Schroeder of Milford, Neb.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 8 at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Burial will follow at Plumer Settlement Cemetery in Council Bluffs.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenwood with the Rev. Charles Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Plumer Settlement Cemetery in Council Bluffs.

Memorials may be offered to Plumer Settlement Cemetery or Trinity Lutheran Church.
