Elsie Nansel

GLENWOOD — Mrs. Elsie Nansel, 72, of Glenwood, died Tuesday at a Glenwood nursing home.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Alvin Newton officiating. Burial will be in Plumer Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph; and two sons, Herbert of Council Bluffs and Earl of Glenwood.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph W. (Elsie) Nansel will be conducted at Trinity LutheranChurch on Thursday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Alvin Newton officiating. Burial will be in Plummer (sic) Settlement Cemetery.

Mrs. Nansel passed away Tuesday, May 1.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph W., and 2 sons, Herbert N. of Council Bluffs and Earl N. of Glenwood.


Elsie Nansel

Elsie Dora Nansel, 72, entered into rest on May 1 in Glenwood. She was born January 23, 1901 in Ft. Calhoun, Neb., the daughter of Edgar and Magdelena Staltenberg Klindt. In 1920, she married Joseph W. Nansel in Council Bluffs. To this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by two bothers, William and Walter Klindt, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph of Glenwood; 2 sons, Herbert of Council Bluffs and Earl of Glenwood and 4 grandchildren.

Services were held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday, May 3, with Rev. Alvin Newton officiating.

Mrs. Earl Livengood, Mrs. LeRoy Kruse, Mrs. Stewart Osterholm and Mrs. Wayne Lincoln were in charge of the flowers. Mrs. Ervin Kizzier was in charge of the memorial book.

Earl Livengood, LeRoy Kruse and Henry Pein served as ushers. Walter Klindt, Paul Nansel, Carl Fillman, Joe Wall, Clifford Stille, Dick Ganzhorn, Robert Wells and Dwight Robshaw acted as pallbearers.

Mrs. Carl Buch presided at the organ with Mrs. Lyndol Livengood and Vanessa Jurgens as soloists.

Interment was in Plumer Cemetery. Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
