Earl J. Nansel, 68, of Glenwood died July 16, 1996, in Glenwood. Funeral services were Tuesday, August 6, 1996, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial was at Plumer Settlement Cemetery with Rev. Arlyn L. Sturtz officiating.
Mr. Nansel was born February 16, 1928, in Mills County to Joseph William and Elsie Dora (Klindt) Nansel. He was a 1945 graduate of Glenwood High School and a member of the National Guard Unit in Glenwood. He managed the theater in Glenwood, Council Bluffs and Bellevue, Neb. Mr. Nansel operated Flowers by Nansel florist shop and Earl's Garden restaurant in Glenwood. He sold for a variety of florist supply companies - most recently Wildwood International of Omaha. Mr. Nansel was a lifelong resident of Mills County.
Mr. Nansel was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herbert W. Nansel. Survivors include sister-in-law, Helen Nansel of Council Bluffs; 3 nephews and one niece.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church.
