Julie Kay Kennedy

Julie Kay Kennedy, age 56, passed away August 12, 2009, at Bergan Mercy Hospital.

She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on August 1, 1953, to the late Jack and Mary (Vanderveer) Kennedy. She graduated from ALHS, and Bellevue University.

Julie worked for the State of Iowa as an Abuse Invesigator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, and her brother Lee Kennedy.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Emblem Kennedy; her sister, Kelly Kennedy Root, both of Council Bluffs; two nephews, and two nieces.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday at 6 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m., at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Reverend Dr. E. A. Hering will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
