Marie A. Green, 77, North Avenue Towers, died today at a local hospital after a short illness.
She was born in Potawattamie County and resided most of her life in Council Bluffs.
She was a widow of Henry J. Green who died in February 1969.
Mrs. Green was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of the church's choir for more than 50 years. She also served as a Jennie Edmundson Hospital volunteer.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Green of Council Bluffs; daughter, Mrs. Robert (Arietta) McCleery of Omaha; two sisters, Lillian Rogers and Mrs. Rav (Ruth) Miller, both of Council Bluffs, and a brother, Arthur Rogers of Omaha. Her twin brother, Max Rogers, died in June of this year.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Clemens Hartfield, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be at Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Meyer's with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
