Mrs. Julia Ann Green

Mrs. Julia Ann Green, aged about 84 years, a pioneer resident of Pottawattamie county, died early Friday morning at the home of her son in Dumfries, Route 1, after an illness of five days.

Mrs. Green, who was the widow of the late Charles Green, was born in Missouri and had lived in Pottawattamie county for about fifty-five years. She is survived by three sons, John A. Green, of Lincoln, Neb., and Henry F. Green and C. F. Green, of Dumfries, and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Brandt, of Alamo, Tex., Mrs. Martha Spetman and Mrs. Ella Plumer, of Dumfries. She also leaves thirty-six grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. The body was removed to Cutler's funeral home pending funeral arrangements.


Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Ann Green will be held Sunday afternoon with a short service at the home of her son, Chris Green, Dumfries, at 2 o'clock and at the brick church in Plumer settlement at 3 o'clock. Rev. C. J. Ringer of St. John's English Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Plumer cemetery

Mrs. Julia Ann Green, aged 84, widow of the late Charles Green, an early day resident of West Oak community, died July 2 following an illness of five days at the home of a son near Dumfries. She had lived in that community for above 50 years. She is survived by three sons, John A. Green of Lincoln, Neb., Henry F. and C. F. Green of Dumfries, and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Brandt of Alamo, Tex., Mrs. Martha Spetman and Mrs. Ella Plumer of Dumfries. There also survive her 36 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the home of her son, Chris Green, and further services in the church of the Plumer settlement.
