Howard R. Green, 77, Rural Route 1, Council Bluffs, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital.
Mr. Green was a Council Bluffs native and lifetime resident. He was a salesman at Sears for 19 years and owned and operated the Council Bluffs Hearing Aid Center for six years, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Viola (Knop); two daughters, Valora J. Green of St. Paul, Minn., and Bernice A. Green of Council Bluffs; three sons, David R. of Omaha, and Jerel H. and Byron P. of Council Bluffs; one brother, Chester of Carson, Calif.; one granddaughter; nieces; and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Clemens Hartfield officiating. Burial with graveside military rites will be in Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Funeral Home.
