Dudley H. Green, 73, Council Bluffs died March 18 at his home.
Mr. Green was born on Jan 2, 1932, in Council Bluffs to Victor H. and Mildred (Roden) Green. He was a lifetime resident of the city.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956. He was a rural mail carrier for 23 years. He was a member of Eastside Christian Church.
He and his wife, Virginia, were married for 43 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Gaylynn Turner and husband, Daryl, of Iron River, Wis.; three sons, Matthew and wife, Jill, of Des Moines, Eric and Morgan, both of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Gwen Leuch and husband, Don, of Council Bluffs and Carolyn Campbell and husband, Jim, of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, Bob and wife, Bonnie, and Gregory and wife, Shari, all of Council Bluffs; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.
Funeral services are Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Eastside Christian Church with the Rev. Jon Schank officiating. A lunch will immediately follow at the church's fellowship hall.
Burial will be at Plumer Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with military rites by American Legion Post No. 2. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery.
