Christopher Green

Christopher (Chris) Green, 86, of Route 1, died Saturday at his home.

A retired farmer, he had lived in the Council Bluffs area most of his life. He was born in Mills County. Green was a member of the Plumer Settlement Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: son, Wallace J. of Route 1; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Schoening, Mrs. Grace Schoening, and Mrs. Marie Schoening, all of Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Plumer and Mrs. Martha Spetman, both of Council Bluffs; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Meyer Funeral Home is in charge.

Funeral services for Christoph (Chris) Green, 86, of Route 1, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Meyer Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. Alton Schwandt, pastor of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Mineola, will officiate. Burial will be at the Plumer Settlement Cemetery. Mr. Green died Saturday at his home.
