DEATH OF DETLEF GOSCH

Detlef Gosch, aged 71 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Fred Thiedschafer, in Mills county, Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock after five days' illness of pneumonia. Deceased was a retired farmer and a widower, living with his daughter. He had been a resident of Mills county for the last forty-five years and leaves three daughters, Mrs. Thiedschafer, at whose home he died, Mrs. Herman Fahrlander, who also resides in Mills county, and Mrs. William Krell of Cripple Creek, Colo. Two sons survive him. They are Herman Gosch of Bancroft, Neb., and Charles who lives in Mills county. The funeral will be held Friday from the German Lutheran church in the Plumer settlement in Mills county. Interment in the German Lutheran cemetery.

The funeral of Detlif Gosch, who died Tuesday afternoon in Mills county, will take place Friday, a short service being held at 1 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Fred Thieschafer, and a longer service at 2:30 o'clock at the German Lutheran church in the Plumer settlement. Rev. Hoff of Treynor will conduct the services. Burial will be in the German Lutheran cemetery.


The funeral of Detlef Gosch, who died Tuesday afternoon in Mills county was held Friday. A short service was conducted at the home of Mrs. Fred Thieschafer at 1 o'clock, and a longer service at 2:30 at the German Lutheran church in the Plumer settlement. Rev. Huff of Treynor officiated at the services. Burial was at the German Lutheran cemetery. The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.

The pallbearers were Hans Schroeder, Peter Wortman, Henry Schoening, E. Klindt, Peter Hoff and Harry Brandt.

Detlif Gosch, aged 71 and a well known resident of St. Mary township, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter Mrs. Fred Thieschafer. Burial takes place this Friday afternoon at the Plumer settlement cemetery, preceded by services at the church. He is survived by five children.

The Tribune of March 24 reported the death of Detlef Gosch on March 23 at the home of his daughter Mrs. Fred Thieschafer in St. Mary. He was born in Germany Jan. 7, 1840, and was therefore past 71 years of age. Death resulted from pneumonia. The funeral was held the following Friday at the Lutheran church to the northeast of his home in Oak township.

Mr. Gosch was a well known and respected resident of his community for nearly half a century. In 1865 he and his young wife, who had recently come from Germany, came to Mills County and located on a farm in the northern part of Oak township. Mrs. Gosch died some 17 years ago.
