CHRISTIANSEN, Richard S., age 55 yrs., 4020 Wakeman Drive, Twin City Plaza, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 1987. U.S. Airforce Veteran Korean Conflict. Survived by Sharon Jackson, constant companion & other relatives. Funeral services: Friday, 1:00 p.m. Woodring Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Richard Hogan, pastor, First Christian Church officiating. Interment: Plumer Settlement Cemetery where members of VFW Post No. 737 will conduct military rites. Scheduled visitation: Thursday 7 to 8 p.m. Woodring Mortuary. Richard Christensen, 55, 4020 Wakeman Drive, died Tuesday at an Omaha hospital due to an aortic aneurism.
Mr. Christiansen was born in Council Bluffs and worked as a glass glazer for the Twin City Glass Company. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Service for Richard S. Christiansen, 55, 4020 Wakeman Drive, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Woodring Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Richard D. Hogan of First Christian Church will officiate. Burial and military rites will be held in the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
Mr. Christiansen died Tuesday at an Omaha hospital. After experiencing chest pains while at work for Twin City Glass Co., he was taken to Mercy Hospital and then transferred to Clarkson Hospital where he underwent open heart surgery on Monday.
Born in Council Bluffs, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War, and a member of VFW Post No. 737 and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Christiansen of Omaha; three sons, Richard Jr., stationed with the Army in Kentucky, Randall and Russell, both of Council Bluffs; mother and stepfather, Margaret and Lyle Rowley of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Sandra Fritz of Oakland and Trudy Koski of Silver Springs, Md.; one brother, Rodney of Deltona, Fla. two stepsons, Mike and Chris Lukker, both of Omaha; three stepdaughters, Judy Owens of Omaha, Trudy Rhodes of Council BLuffs and Terri Holcomb of San Antonio, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday of Woodring Funeral Home.
