Charles E. “Chuck” Busse (1943-2015)

Charles E. “Chuck” Busse, age 71, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 23, 2015, at his home.

Chuck was born April 30, 1943, in Omaha to the late Jesse W. and Ann (Kelly) Busse. He graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1961 and attended IWCC. Chuck married Harriet Thompson on January 24, 1964 in Omaha. They were blessed with two children, Jesse E. and Susanah M. Chuck was a firefighter for the Omaha Fire Department for 32 years, retiring in 1994 as a fire apparatus engineer. He was a member of Christ Community Church and the Firefighters Local #385.

He is survived by his wife, Harriet Busse; son, Jesse E. (Kathy) Busse; daughter, Susanah M. Busse, all of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Micah and Miranda Busse, Autumn and Alyssa Gregory; sister, Fern (Andy) Kissel of Elk Horn, Iowa; brother Walter “Bud” Busse of Omaha; nieces and nephews.
