Chris Burck, 63, who lived one mile south of Dumfries on route 1, died Wednesday morning in a local hospital from injuries received in a farm accident.
Burck was working on the Bernard Brandt farm, route 1, Tuesday afternoon. He was caught between the power takeoff of a tractor and an elevator while unloading corn, Carl Spethmann said.
He suffered injuries of the leg, neck, shoulder and arm.
Survivors are his widow, Mary; two sons, Ward and Roland, route 1; and two sisters, Mrs. John Konz and Mrs. Hanna Roux, both of Council Bluffs.
Funeral services for Chris Burck, 63, route 1, farm accident victim, will be held at 3:15 p.m. Friday at the Meyer chapel. The Rev. Ellis Butler, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian church will officiate. Interment will be in the Plumer cemetery.
