Mrs. Mary Brandt, 81, pioneer resident of this vicinity, died at 1:20 a.m. Monday at her home at 1501 Fairmount avenue, of a general decline following a ten day illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cutler chapel with Dr. R. W. Livers officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery in the Plumer settlement
Born Aug. 29, 1862, in Mills county, where she had resided for 65 years, Mrs. Brandt came to Council Bluffs seven years ago.
Surviving are her husband, J. B. Brandt; two sons, Albert and John of Mills county; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Bostedt of Mills county and Mrs. Julia VanDerveer of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Henry Green of Council Bluffs and Chris Green of Pottawattamie county; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Spetman and Mrs. Ella Plumer, both of Pottawattamie county; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The body is at the Cutler mortuary.
