Henry Carl Brandt, Sr.

Henry Carl Brandt, Sr., age 93, of Council Bluffs, died at Hansen House on June 5, 2019.

Henry was born to Claus and Maude (Barr) Brandt on August 22, 1925, in Mills County.

Henry was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and attended Iowa State University. Henry was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He was an avid reader and Civil War enthusiast. Henry was a long-time rancher and farmer in Pottawattamie County.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anne; son-in-law, Mike Triptow and brothers, Charles and Jack; sister, Alice.

He is survived by daughters, Barbara (Vic) Frederick, Jane Triptow, and son, Henry, Jr. (Linda); three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; sisters, June Stephens, Anne Freudenfeld; nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held in Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
