Darlene Ella Arp, 52, rural Council Bluffs, died this past Thursday in an Omaha hospital.
She was born Feb. 19, 1927, the daughter of Gustav and Ella Franke Rohrberg in Mills County.
After graduating from Glenwood High School, she became a rural school teacher and married Alvin Adolph Arp on Dec. 27, 1947. Three children were born to the family.
She was a 4H leader for several years. She was also a member and taught Sunday School at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenwood.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin; three daughters, Joyce Hahn of Omaha; Nancy McClenathan of Ottumwa and Susan Kreps of Council Bluffs. Grandchildren are Bryan and Paula Kreps, Ranea Hahn and Nathan McClenathan. Four brothers include Levor, Mike and Virgil Rohrberg of Glenwood and Harlan Rohrberg of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Jacobsen of Council Bluffs and Wilma Rohrberg of Glenwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Emory and Elvin and one sister, Elnora Hoffman.
Services were Friday at the Raynor, Lett and Kent Funeral Home. The Rev. Laine Mathiason conducted the memorial service.
Pall bearers were Tom Green, John Poore, Jerry McIntosh, Herbert Nansel, Robert Scheidle and Elmer Schroeder.
Burial was at Plumer Settlement Cemetery.
